Aldi Electric Pour Over Kettle
If you are like me and drink a lot of tea and coffee you may want to check out the Ambiano Electric Kettle in this week’s Aldi Finds. The Ambiano Electric Pour Over Kettle will be selling for $39.99 the week of 11/16/2022.
This Ambiano Kettle features a gooseneck design and precise temperature controls which is ideal for making tea and pour over or french press coffee. This kettle can heat the water to temperatures from 104F (40C) to 212F (100C) which gives you a wide range of options for whatever you are making.
This type of kettle is ideal for coffee and tea but I also use a similar kettle just to heat up water faster than the stove for cooking. If you love hot drinks (or ramen noodles!) this is a great thing to have in the kitchen.
I have a similar style electric kettle that heats water from 170-212F and has a hold temperature option that I use frequently. Aldi does not say if the Ambiano Gooseneck Kettle has this feature so that is something to consider.
I do like that you can set the temperature over such a wide range with the Ambiano kettle. My current kettle just gives five temperature options which are meant to cover everything from white tea at 170F to boiling at 212F.
The gooseneck style spout on the Ambiano Kettle gives you more control and precision when pouring which is nice in almost every situation. It is almost a requirement with some pour over coffee brewing. Give it a try with one of Aldi’s Organic Coffees.

Is It A Good Deal?
This looks like a decent price for an electric gooseneck kettle with temperature control. It is priced similarly to the sale price of some lesser known brands or close to better known brands like Bodum without the temperature control. It is also a lot more expensive than Aldi’s Glass Electric Kettle.
With small appliances like this the price can vary significantly day to day depending on if there is a sale going on at the time so you may want to look at all the options first but I will pick out some solid options that you can use as comparisons.
The first option to look at is the kettle that I actually own and use daily. The

There are two options that are close in price to the Ambiano. The first is the Brim Temperature Control Gooseneck Kettle which has the better style in my opinion. The second is the Tumidy Gooseneck Kettle which was one of the cheapest options when I was writing this. I think i was fool by the bargain ..I never over use it or mostly use it every two days and i am so upset But you live and learn ..I wish i had a way to contact the company for any guarantee since the manager at aldi did not feel like helping me We bought ours for $39.99 about a month ago. And it’s already out. Our stove-top kettle’s handle broke and I started shopping for a replacement. I decided to go with an electric kettle for the speed of boiling water over the stove-top type. I started looking through Amazon and found several self-contained kettles with positive reviews, but then my wife suggested Aldi’s. And here is it what I found; plus, it was marked down $10. The other reviewer did an in-depth review and I concur. If you can find one, before Aldi sells out, this is a great kettle. I saw this in the store a week before my old kettle died on me and I’m glad I was able to get back in and pick it up. I picked up the Gray one with the faux wood handle. I like the gray, not the “wood”. I’d have gone with black but they were out of stock. The handle is a bit weird… a flexible rubbery plastic. After one day of use it seems sturdy enough and it definitely doesn’t conduct any heat. Which is good because the walls of this kettle have very little insulation. The outside of the body gets very hot when boiling water, so be careful if you’re used to kettles that are insulated. It has min/max lines embossed into the inside of the tank. Minimum is about 8oz of water, max is 32oz or One Liter The interface is simple enough. A blueish white alarm clock style display that’s easily readable in a well lit kitchen but not eye searingly bright in the dark. Two buttons, one power button, and a temperature setting button and a stealthy dial that surrounds them. The dial is… well it’s definitely not premium. Its very plasticy and just a hair too tight so it feels bad to turn, but this is a $40 kettle it works well enough so I’m not really complaining. You can hold the temp setting button to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Its temp range is 104-212 F or 40-100C, in one degree increments. The dial is somewhat clicky so its easy to get a precise temperature dialed in, though I’ve seen it jump back a number once or twice when I crank it all the way to boiling point and I have to re-set that last digit. not a big deal. I’m not sure if the base on mine is a little off, maybe the springy electrical contacts are too tight, or if it’s just the general fit and finish on the product, but setting the kettle on the base doesn’t feel like it’s super well engaged. It’s a bit wobbly, not to the point of being a problem, but again just something you’ll notice and isn’t a plus. When its done heating it emits an unobtrusive little beep. It doesn’t make me want to rip the thing apart and tear it out like some appliances, but it’s also not very loud, so if the dishwasher is running or you’re in the other room you might miss it. One of my favorite things about it is that the screen reads out the actual current temperature of the water inside. My biggest real complaint is the error codes. This is clearly a reasonably smart device since the base and the kettle have to talk to each other, but when its done heating and you lift the kettle from the base it beeps and shows E1. I had to go grab the manual to know there wasn’t actually an issue, E1 just means no kettle present… But that should be pretty expected, I don’t want to have a mysterious error code pop up every time its used. The manual also has an E0, which means over temperature. Good if you ever accidentally turn it on with no water, and E2, which means short circuit. Hopefully you’ll never see that, but maybe if you spill water into the base contacts or something. With only 3 error codes, I feel like they could have put something on the screen that was a little more informative than just E1… Especially since it shows up literally every time you use the kettle.Ambiano Electric Kettle Reviews
