Aldi Awesome Pan VS The Always Pan
Aldi is offering the Aldi Awesome Pan for just $24.99 starting on November 1st as an Aldi Find. These sold pretty quickly in my local store last time they were available so grab one before they sell out.
The Crofton Awesome pan looks to be a dupe of the popular Our Place pan seems like a cheap alternative to the $145 Always Pan but what are the differences?
One major difference is the Always Pan comes with a fitted steamer basket and spatula that rests on the handle and keeps drips in the pan, the awesome pan does not appear to have either of these features.
Besides these accessories the Always Pan has a pour spout on both sides of the pan while the Aldi Awesome Pan does not have any pour spouts.
Both pans are made of Aluminum and are compatible with all cooktops (including induction). Both use a non-stick ceramic coating that does not contain PFOA or PTFE.
Aldi’s Pan uses Fusion Ti coating and the name brand uses a brand exclusive coating.
They are similarly sized (10 in and 10.25 in diameter) and both have a stay cool handle. The Our Place Pan is not oven safe.
The online product description does say the Awesome Pan is oven safe to 300 °F.

I was impressed with my last Aldi Kitchen purchase (the Electric Salt and Pepper Mills), so I am tempted to try this out as well.
I’ll update with my hands on impressions it I do buy it.
Update 3/10/2022
I didn’t find one in-store but here is what reddit user TaxOld364 had to say:
“I got mine the day before the ad and have been using it about biweekly since. I’ve used nonstick utensils with it and a nonstick safe scrub brush from the dollar store with it.
It looks the nearly the same as when I purchased it, (minor scuff marks on the steel part that is in contact with the stove and the turmeric stain I accidentally got on the silicone cover handle aside).
I’ve never used it above medium heat (as per instructions) on my slightly larger than average stovetop which I thought would be pushing it, but heating/preheating it from the range of low to medium and getting it to sizzle and saute has all worked very well for me.
I’ve even heated up tomato based sauces, boiled chili in it, and have (unfortunately) had incidents of burnt egg whites and cheese in it and it’s still come out alive and functional without a scratch inside to this point.
I’m honestly very content with it for the function, price, and looks. I like this nonstick blue pan way too much and it might be the best piece of cookware I own especially for the cop at $25. It should really make a return.”
Is It A Good Deal?
Aldi’s Crofton Awesome Pan is less than $30 and is meant to compete with the $145 Always Pan . With that difference in price I think it is worth trying out the Aldi Awesome Pan first.
There are a few other similar pans you could take a look at as alternatives. Another cheap option would be Carote Deep Fry Saute Pan. A mid priced option is the Goodful All-In-One Pan.

Crofton Awesome Pan Reviews
Wow
Truly an Awesome pan! Hope they will make a pot that includes the helper handle for arthritis!!
An easy and versatile pan
I got mine the day before the ad and have been using it about biweekly since. I’ve used nonstick utensils with it and a nonstick safe scrub brush from the dollar store with it. It looks the nearly the same as when I purchased it, (minor scuff marks on the steel part that is in contact with the stove and the turmeric stain I accidentally got on the silicone cover handle aside 🥲).
