Aldi Chocolate Dominos
Aldi is really testing our willpower with all of these chocolates and cookies like these Deutsche Kuche Chocolate Dominos.
They will be coming out September 21st, 2022 during Aldi’s German Week. They will be selling for $2.99 per package.
These are gingerbread cookies topped with apple jelly and persipan and then coated in either chocolate or dark chocolate.
They look similar to the traditional German Holiday Cookie the Dominostein. The dominostein was invented in 1936 and became popular in the 1940’s.
Persipan (also known as parzipan) is similar to Marzipan but instead almonds it uses apricot or peach kernels.

Bought 8 packages at my local NH ALDI’s store of the Dark Chocolate version. Brought me back in time when my mother’s German friend Maria, a WWII War Bride relocated to the U.S. would make these for us. Delicious! Rich treat! And a Delightful addition to our Christmas holiday enjoyment and gift giving. Hope ALDI’s will continue to stock them for many years to come!
Acquired taste, but delicious once you acquire it.
My wife is from germany. The first time I had these, I spit them out. Same with most of my family. But now, I absolutely love them. I just wish Aldi had them year round.
