Aldi SOHL Console Table

This is about $30 cheaper than last year’s model (see below) but changes out the drawer for a shelf.
This would be ideal in an entryway if you need a place to set your stuff when you get home and add a little extra storage. But it could be used in just about any room that needs just a little extra storage or tabletop space.
This looks like it would go well with the SOHL Writing Desk if you happened to pick that up already.

Is It A Good Deal?
The SOHL Accent Table is selling for $89.99 which is generally a pretty good price compared to what I can find online.
You may find some better options on sale in stores but I think this is probably a decent buy. Not a huge deal but if you like the style the price is decent for this type of furniture.

Drawer Issue
Got it all together and the drawer wdnt go in all the way. Stuck out an inch. Cdn’t figure out what was wrong. All the screws were in properly. I called Aldi’s to see what to do (Dec 2022). They said, well it must be defective, and we don’t have any more in stock, so they gave me my money back.
After a month or two, I went back to the project and I was trying to analyze it; Then I remembered that some cabinets have auto closing drawers; as in if you just give it a little touch it will roll in and shut, which means the track is a little lower in the back. And then I remembered that when you first put the drawer in, you have to jam it in pretty hard; that keeps it from falling out on the floor if you pull it out too far because it has a catch on it that stops it. Once I gave it a good hard shove (basically slammed shut) it went in all the way, and now it works just fine. I give zero stars to the staff who had no clue about this problem! You would think they would be trained on their products. However, I have to give back the stars bc they were nice and did refund my money. A simple note in the instruction manual to give it a good hard shove once the wheels were in the tracks would have saved all the aggravation. I’m glad I got it to close and now it’s a nice table. The finish is well done.
Connector Nut Size
Does anyone know the size of the connector nuts used for assembly? My table looks like it was short-shipped a handful of these nuts which has not allowed me to fully complete the installation. I don’t mind stopping at the hardware store or ordering some, but these seem to be unique sizes.

My husband called me today and said “do we need this?” Well for $23, yeah we “need it”. It took a while to put together but it’s heavy, sturdy and just what I needed in my bedroom. I love the drawer, the bottom shelf and the sleek design. Getting the drawer in was the hardest part of assembly and I though I had done something wrong because one side or the other would go in but not both. I had my husband help me and we were able to get it in finally. I’m happy and might go try to find another one for the living room. 🙂

I got this today on sale for 22.00 !!!!! For real ! So yeah i got one. Took a little bit to put together and mess with the drawer tracks. But figured it out. Its a solid piece!! Heavy too. Worth it for sure.
Drawer doesn’t work
We’ve tried everything we can and the drawer will not properly lay in the track. Otherwise a very nice console table that we purchased on sale.
