You may know that Aldi carries houseplants and flowers occasionally but they also carry a pretty wide variety of outdoor Gardenline plants in the spring. This year they will carry spring bulbs, blueberry bushes, shade trees, grapevines and more as Aldi Find’s.
You might be able to take care of your entire landscaping plan with just Aldi outdoor plants! I would expect that most of these plants are going to be sold as bare-root plants (or bulbs) instead of plants growing in soil in a pot.
Bare root is how I prefer to buy most trees and plant because they won’t be twisting their roots in a pot when they run out of room. The disadvantage is the plants will most likely be dormant so you won’t really get a good idea of how healthy it is until it is planted and starts to grow. Hopefully Aldi has some type of guarantee on the plants but I don’t know if there is any. Check the packaging before purchase if that is important to you.

Gardenline Plant Reviews

1st 2 purchases ever of Gardenline products
Purchased 2 boxes of Clematis Vine. One a pink and the other was the Clematis Purple. The pink one is in the ground, but when I went to empty the purple one, there was nothing but dirt – no bulb at all. Since you purchase them in a box, one cannot tell by touch or feel if an actual bulb inside. May I send the box and packaged dirt back so you will tell I am providing the truth. What address would I send it you as I would like this one replaced and purchase the remaining 2 other than the purple and pink I originally thought I was getting. The packaging looks beautiful and that is why I bought them and hoping pink blooms and company replaces the purple bulb I purchased and was NOT in the bulb box.
Trees
Two out of three is ok. Can’t find an address for a replacement??!!
Wondering if there is a replacement offer.
Bad luck plants
I purchased a total of seven bare root trees. Only one was viable. All four of the River birch trees were dead. The other flowering tree was also dead. Had better luck, with only the Yoshima cherry which seems to be doing okay. Two clematis purchased, only one viable. And. I’m an experienced gardener who has planted many trees on my property. Learned a lesson to not buy bare root from ALDIS. They should get rid of their dried and dead stock and not have them out for sale in their stores.
Clematis vine
Very, very disappointed in two boxed clematis vines ( 1 purple, 1 pink) I bought about 10 days ago at my local( Westfield,MA. Aldi )! Opened box and found a 2” root in one 12” package and even smaller one in other. Did put both in a big pot of soil outside and neither has grown at all! Probably won’t buy any Gardenline products in the future!
99% success
Over the past 2 years, I purchased 2 bags of perennial flower bulb packages and I had 99% success. Everyone of these bulbs came out. The overall price was less than $10. I would have paid several times more if purchased elsewhere.
Yes, Aldi offers a selection of flowers through their Gardenline collection. You can find a variety of seasonal and perennial flowers, including both potted plants and cut flowers, depending on the time of year and availability at your local Aldi store. These are not an everyday item at Aldi so you will find them around holidays like valentine’s day and seasonally.
Aldi offers a diverse range of flowers to suit different preferences and gardening needs. You can find popular flowering plants such as roses, tulips, daisies, lilies, and more. The selection may vary based on seasonal availability and regional preferences.
