My Review of Burman’s Avocado Serrano Hot Sauce

I recently tried out Burman’s Avocado Serrano Hot Sauce on my tacos and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious! The creamy avocado flavor perfectly complemented the heat of the serrano peppers, creating a unique and flavorful sauce that took my tacos up a notch.

The consistency of the sauce was just right – thick enough that it doesn’t run out of the taco, but thin enough that I don’t have to spread it around. The heat level was also perfect for my taste buds – enough to give a little kick, but not so much that I couldn’t taste anything else. This is a medium sauce and really adds great flavor with a nice little kick.

What I love most about this hot sauce is its versatility. I can see myself adding it to eggs, burgers, and or mixed with mayo as a dipping sauce or spread.

Based on the name there are a few little surprises when looking at the ingredients though. There is no actual avocado, only avocado oil along with soybean or canola oil. And the primary pepper is jalapeno (by weight). I don’t have a problem with any of that though because they made a great sauce. And they did replicate some of the avocado creaminess without the whole bottle turning brown after the first use.

A better name for it may be a tomatillo salsa or tomatillo jalapeno hot sauce but the marketing worked on me and I am glad it did!

I highly recommend Burman’s Avocado Serrano Hot Sauce to anyone who loves a little heat and a lot of flavor in their food. It’s definitely become a staple in my kitchen and I can’t wait to try the other flavors as well.
