Journey to India Mini Samosas
Aldi has Journey to India Mini Chicken Tikka Samosas or Mini Vegetable Samosas as an Aldi Find item in the freezer section both of which come with a tamarind dipping sauce. I love options like this from Aldi, they make for a quick and easy meal for one or and easy side dish or appetizer for 2-4 people. I am have generally been impressed with the frozen foods in Aldi finds like this and keep a few in the freezer for quick meals.
My Review of Journey to India Mini Samosas
I had tested both of these mini samosas at lunchtime today and I was impressed. I cooked them with the package instructions but instead of a standard oven I used the convection bake setting on my airfryer. They turned out perfectly cooked and nice and crispy. The filling was flavorful with a mild spice and the tamarind dipping sauce added a little sweetness and another dimension of flavor. I would be pretty happy with this if I ordered it at a restaurant and I am sure I would have paid more for it. Both the Vegetable and Chicken Tikka fillings were flavorful and filling.
My only complaint would be the texture of the filling was all the same, soft vegetables or shredded chicken there wasn’t much in it with texture but the crispy pastry on the outside made up for that. I will definitely buy these again next time they are in stock!

Fantastic Little Samosas
Big fan of these! We usually stop at Meijer on our out of town shopping trip because they have the best vegan food selection. Then we hit Aldi on the way out to see what they have. We had just bought samosas at Meijer when we found these at Aldi. We bought a couple of boxes to see how they were. My wife and I are loving them! Love the smaller size and the tamarind sauce is a perfect pair. The Meijer kind comes with a chutney sauce. These Aldi samosas are better in every way!
