State of Brewing Peanut Butter Porter
This new Peanut Butter Butter Porter from Aldi will be available for a limited time starting the week of September 28th, 2022. You can pick one up for $6.99 for a 4-pack of 12 ounce bottles.
While I haven’t tried this specific beer from Aldi I have had similar beers in the past. Last year Aldi had some type of chocolate porter or stout that was pretty decent.
Porters are dark, malty beers and can be very similar to stouts since stouts were originally stout porters or strong porters.
I like dark beers like this in the fall and winter, they are a bit heavier and more flavorful than your lighter beer varieties. If you are looking for something bright and refreshing to cool you down this probably isn’t the beer your are looking for.
This beer may show up in the Beer Advent Calendar from Aldi for 2022. If you think you will like this beer I wouldn’t wait until the Advent Calendar since you will only get one and probably won’t find it again this year.
Since this is a flavored porter I expect it will have at least some sweetness and will probably pair well with dessert. I would have this with a dessert made with chocolate, vainilla, peanut butter, or bananas.
Of course Aldi’s Famous Peanut Butter Cups would be a great pairing as well. If you have some of the Deutsche Kuche Peanut Puffs left from German Week this could be another nice option.

Aldi Peanut Butter Porter Reviews
Love the fabulous flavor of this Peanut Butter Porter
I am a huge fan of porters in general, chocolate, coffee and now peanut butter!!! The flavor is wonderful, the price cannot be beat. It sells out so fast though!!! I hope I find some more before the limited time offering is over!!!!
Solid PB porter
Grabbed this beer on a whim while getting pumpkins from Aldi’s- couldn’t pass up trying it for the price. It’s a solid PB porter- not as rich and tasty as Sweet Baby Jesus, but still has clear notes of peanut butter and the right heaviness for a porter. Would buy again if I was craving in the future and happened to be at or near Aldi’s, but not so good it’s worth a special trip because it’s on par with just about every other PB porter I’ve tasted. Definitely worth a try if you come along it though
