Aldi LED Movie Projector and Projector Screen.
You may not expect to find a new LED Projector at Aldi but the week of August 9th, 2023 you will be able to pick up the Bauhn LED Projector or the Banzai Inflatable Projector Screen.
Aldi’s LED Projector will sell for $69.99 as a limited time Aldi Find. For less than a seventy bucks you can project a movie up to 208 inches and over 20 feet away. This is $30 less than last year’s model with similar specs.
You can pair that with Aldi’s Inflatable Movie Projection Screen for another $89.99 for a full outdoor movie experience. It includes a electric blower to quickly inflate it to a massive 9.5 foot screen.
Now this may not be a top of the line projector, and I wouldn’t expect it to be for this price. But for $99.99 it may be worth trying out for those backyard movie nights.
I have a nice little portable projector that we don’t use very often but it is nice to have for a movie night.
I would recommend getting a TV stick like a roku or Fire Stick to plug into your projector to make things easy if you use it near wifi. It makes it easy to play all your streaming services like Netflix without needing a computer nearby.

Is It A Good Deal?
I probably wouldn’t recommend picking up high end electronics at the grocery store but this isn’t competing with the high end projectors. This is meant to do movie night on a budget.
So how does it compare to other budget model projectors?
Unfortunately it is pretty tough to do a good comparison for projectors without seeing them perform side by side. The best you can really do is compare specs but that doesn’t always tell the whole story.
I was able to find quite a few budget projector options in that price range that have similar specs to the Bauhn Projector from Aldi.
At this price point it can be pretty tough to say the more lumens on one projector equals a better picture.
So instead of looking at specs I would make sure it meets your basic needs like screen size and distance from screen.
Once you find a couple that would work go with the one with best reviews or brand reputation. Or go with the cheapest price and test it out if you are able to return relatively easily.
The cheapest option I found is this Mini Projector from Aokang but the size of the projection and projection distance are in a pretty narrow range. So be sure that it would work for where you would use it because it is not as versatile.
The projector closest to Aldi’s projector in specs with a lot of good reviews is the TMY Projector. It also includes a 100 inch screen so you can get started right away. Click here for the current price but as I was researching this looked like a better deal than the Bauhn (again without having used it).
I would also take a look at this best selling projector. The AuKing Mini Projector has tons of good reviews and comes in at a good price. Again be sure that the projection size and distance will work for you and compare the other specs as well.

Debatable
The HDMI for FireStick didn’t make any sound, i tried every app on there even went through settings and I couldn’t get the audio to work. Will mention connecting to Apple devices did work.
Great projector, easy to use, good inputs, quality
Works great, even without a screen, on a light, heavily textured wall. Very clear. Love it, but they sold out fast at Aldi, I wanted to get another one, hopefully the reorder them.
