Is It A Good Deal?
This time of year every store will come out with their own version of this type of patio furniture so I can’t check everyone of them and keep up on the sales but I will look at a few to see if this is a decent price. Of course you can spend much more than $200 on a patio set for larger, more stylish, or higher quality pieces but I want to try to compare very similar sets. I was able to find a few sets that are very similar to the Belavi Patio Set priced around $100-150 on Amazon.
Let’s look at the Devoko 4 Piece Patio Set for right around $100. That is half the price of Aldi’s patio set but there is a $39.99 shipping charge showing up for me (no prime shipping). This set is the same basic setup of a loveseat, two chairs, and a glass table.
The main difference seems to be it has mesh seats and backing instead of a padded mesh. This may reduce the comfort slightly for some but I generally prefer mesh to the thin padding that can’t be removed. Mesh will dry much faster and seems to last longer for me if there is no padding in it. It also looks a bit more modern in my opinion and seems to be just as comfortable. If you want something with more cushion I would check out the Aldi Outdoor Sectional post for some good options. Removable cushions are less convenient but they will generally last longer (if you remove when not using or during bad weather) and be more comfortable.
Another good option is the Flamaker 4-piece patio set for $147.99 (free shipping). This set looks similar to the Devoko and is only about $8 more expensive after shipping. Either of these options will save you about $50 over Aldi’s version and you will have it shipped to your door. If you are not in a rush you could wait a few weeks and see if Aldi has marked down any of them since they tend to discount bulky seasonal items pretty quickly.
At the current price I would buy one of the above options from Amazon instead of the Belavi Conversational Set. If you catch one on clearance for less than $150 I think it is a good buy. If you just prefer the look or materials of the Belavi it is not a terrible price by any means.
