Aldi Salmon Wellington Is Back
The Specially Selected Salmon Wellington is back as an Aldi Find (03/02/22 – 03/08/22) for just $7.99. I tried this in 2020 or 2021 for the first time and went back and bought more. It is a great easy meal to have in the freezer that feels really fancy.
One salmon wellington was enough for a meal for two with a vegetable side or side salad. If I remember right we even had a little bit leftover and it reheated fine the next day. I tried both varieties available and though they were both good.
Wellingtons are classically a beef tenderloin coated with mustard and mushrooms and the wrapped in prosciutto and puff pastry. This salmon wellington is something I haven’t see in other stores or on restaurant menus (but I haven’t been looking for it) so you get a unique take on the wellington from Aldi. The salmon wellington is salmon coated with seasoning and a sauce and wrapped in puff pastry.

Review of Salmon Wellington
Limited supply at Aldis in Buffalo, NY. Bought two which were in cheese and dill sauce and they were absolutely magnificent. Wish I had gone back sooner to buy more but none to be had. The puff pastry, salmon and sauce were better than beef wellington. Problem is: where can I purchase more? Was told these were on special, got very few and don’t know when more, if ever, will be in store again.
By the way, I used to work for a TV cooking show and I could not make a better entry!
Absolutely Delicious
OMG! This is next level yum! Lots of cheese, salmon and seasoned to perfection! I brushed the dough wrap with egg and it baked to a beautifully golden crust! I was skeptical, but this is a buy more than one when it’s in stock! Aldi’s hit a home run with this decadent frozen dinner option!!!!!!!
