Aldi Deutsche Küche Orange Jaffa Cake

Aldi Jaffa Cakes

Deutsche Küche Jaffa Cakes

Deutsche Küche Jaffa Cakes are a common addition to Aldi’s German Week and occasionally available as an Aldi Find. While Jaffa Cakes originated in the UK and are popular throughout Europe these Jaffa Cakes from Aldi are imported from Germany. Jaffa Cakes are a small cookie sized sponge cake topped with a fruit jam (originally and most commonly orange) and coated with chocolate.

They aren’t very common in the US except at specialty shops or ordering online but a few times a year you will find them at Aldi.

Aldi will be carrying Jaffa Cakes again the week of May 3rd, 2023 for $2.99. This time you will be able to pick up Orange Jaffa Cakes or Strawberry Jaffa Cakes.

Deutsche Küche Jaffa Cakes were available during Aldi’s Spring German Week in 2022 for $2.49 for a 10.6 ounce (300 gram) package. Both the”original” orange flavor and raspberry flavors were available.

Although these German Jaffa Cakes from Aldi are not the original Jaffa Cakes I have read that they are some of the best. They also look to be the cheapest option to get Jaffa Cakes in the United States. I haven’t tried any Jaffa Cakes in the past but I am going to try an snag a box or two of these when they are available next at Aldi.

Where to get Jaffa Cakes in the US

Aldi seems to be the best price for Jaffa Cakes in the United States but they only have them a limited time. In 2023 Aldi is selling a 300 gram (10.6 oz) package of Jaffa Cakes imported from Germany for just $2.99. You next best option is likely a specialty European grocery store if your city has one. But realistically your best option is going to be ordering online, likely from Amazon.

The only problem with ordering online is the prices are generally going to be much higher. I found a bunch of different brands of Jaffa Cake available for purchase on Amazon but they are all $10+ for a similar sized package.

Your best bet if you know you like them and know you like the brand you are ordering is to get the largest pack you can find because a lot of the cost is shipping charges. You can even find Aldi’s Jaffa cakes being resold on amazon but most reviews complain about the boxes and cookies being damaged so I wouldn’t go that route.

OMG 😱 Way to good. I became addicted, no lie..Te register lady ask me without thinking first. Do you want your receipt? Lol then she said lol nope your not gonna be bringing these back. Of course not. I messed up and told to many how good they are, now they are out and being they come from Germany😭 I’m afraid they may not have any for awhile.

I became ‘addicted’ to Jaffa Cakes after trying. Aldis are not the same brand I used to buy, but they are so good. I wish they sold them all year long.

Jaffa Cakes Probably Aren’t For Me

August 31, 2022

I gave this a 4/5 because the quality and texture seemed good and the flavours were good but I am not a big fan of the fruit/chocolate mix. Not bad, but not good. I think these are good Jaffa Cakes but I am not a big fan of Jaffa Cakes. If I am going to have a cookie or dessert it is not what I would go for.
