Aldi Brings Another Set of Premium Salt and Pepper Mills
This set of Crofton Salt and Pepper Mills will be available as an Aldi Find the week of 6/8/22 for just $12.99. The set of two mills (one for salt and one for pepper) are made of wood and come in 3 different finishes. I purchased the Ambiano Electric Salt and Pepper Mills a while back so I likely won’t be picking these up but I do have a similar wood mill from Ikea that still gets some use.
The one thing I don’t like about a set of wood salt and pepper mills like this it they look too alike. I want to be able to tell which is salt and which is pepper quickly. With these is seems like they are so similar it would be tough to tell them apart quickly.
I would prefer two different heights or slightly different designs so they match but are different enough to tell apart. It is very possible that these do have some label or marking to identify which is salt and pepper but I don’t see that in any pictures or information right now.

Is it a good deal?
You can find this type of salt and pepper mill set all over online and in-stores but most are more expensive than Aldi’s version. The Crofton Salt/Pepper Mill set sell for $12.99 for the pair but most options I found online are selling for $20+. There are even some sets selling for $40-50. Without knowing any differences in quality I picked out a couple that were the closest in price while still having good reviews.
First option would be the XQXQ Salt and Pepper Grinder which is a different style and has a clear acrylic compartment for your salt and pepper so you can see which is which. It sells for $24.99 right now but it did have an extra 20% off coupon at the time of this writing. Another option that is very similar in style to the Crofton Grinder is this set of Salt and Pepper Mills. This one is selling for just under $20 right now.
